Russian forces attacked the city of Kyiv on the night of 1-2 October, hitting the Pivdennyi Bridge once again and damaging a 25-storey residential building.

Russian forces continued their drone attacks on Kyiv, targeting the Southern Bridge three times over several hours, causing it to close to traffic.

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the ambassadors of European Union countries in Ukraine.

Zelensky stated that air defense, joint production, financial resilience, EU accession, and sanctions pressure on Russia are key tracks they are working on.

Zelensky said Ukraine plans to hold more coordination formats with partners on foreign policy.

Russia launched a drone attack on the city of Hostomel in Kyiv Oblast on the evening of Oct. 2, striking warehouses and reportedly injuring four people.

Among the targets of attack was reportedly a warehouse of Venta LTD, Ukraine's third largest pharmaceutical distributor.

Tkachenko said that a warehouse and several unspecified production facilities were set ablaze in the attack.

On Oct. 2, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported emergency crews headed back to the crossing.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that Russian occupiers struck the South Bridge again on Friday, October 2.

On the evening of October 2, the Russian army hit Pivdennyi Bridge in Kyiv for the fourth time during a drone attack.
