Russian forces appear to be actively interfering with Ukrainian efforts to provide food to residents of occupied Oleshky, Kherson Oblast (southeast of Kherson City and on the left bank of the Dnipro River), threatening to prolong and intensify an already dire humanitarian crisis.

On 27 September, it was reported that Ukrainian troops had carried out one of the largest operations to deliver humanitarian aid to Oleshky, transporting around 4,000 kg of food to the city by drone.

The hospital has begun turning away civilian patients and has all but stopped functioning due to lack of resources.

On Sept. 27, Ukrainian forces delivered around four tons of food to Oleshky residents, distributing supplies to 100 locations across the city with the help of drones, the Kherson Oblast Military Administration head said.

Kherson regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said on social media on Sunday that, since March, Ukraine’s defense forces have been carrying out airdrops to deliver food across the city via drone, with the most recent such operation being carried out on Saturday night.

Using drones, they dropped around 4 tonnes of food at 100 locations across the city.

Around 4,000 kg of food was delivered to 100 points in occupied Oleshky.

The operation was conducted in cooperation with the 30th Marine Infantry Corps, Tactical Group 'Hrom', 34th Marine Infantry Brigade 'Borispfen', a unit of the 11th National Guard Brigade, the 34th National Guard Regiment, and the 79th Border Detachment.

Ukraine has delivered around 4 tonnes of food to the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky using drones. Aid was delivered to 100 locations for local residents.

Russian troops are shooting down drones carrying supplies and confiscating food.
