Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree dismissing Ruslan Kravchenko as prosecutor general.

Kyiv responded that it is ready for a truce if Russia also stops its strikes.

Timur Tkachenko, head of the regional state administration, announced this on Telegram.

Tkachenko explained that gas stations will no longer have to rely solely on general air raid alerts and will have more information about specific threats.

A person matching the description of Kyrylo Budanov, head of the President's Office, allegedly asked his deputy, Iryna Mudra, to launder cash to pay bail for former Energy and Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko, according to the leaked text of the charges against Mudra published by the media outlet Bihus.info late on Sept. 15.

On June 9, 2026, Mudra received a proposal from an official of the President’s Office of Ukraine to help arrange the laundering of cash that, according to the circumstances of the case, had been obtained through criminal means.

The meeting came amid continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy and logistics infrastructure, including strikes on fuel stations in Kyiv. Kyiv has said that Russia’s campaign against critical infrastructure is continuing despite discussions about a possible pause in energy strikes.

A Ukrainian official told The Economist in mid-September that Putin ordered attacks on all civilian objects, specifically naming data centers and supermarkets as targets.

On 15 September, the President signed Kravchenko’s dismissal.
