A fire broke out overnight at a drone-component plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland, owned by WB Electronics, a manufacturer of military components for Ukraine. Authorities stated the cause was under investigation and did not rule out arson.

The plant belongs to WB Electronics, Poland’s largest private arms manufacturer, which also produces reconnaissance and kamikaze drones used by Ukraine’s military.

Police and the Internal Security Agency said the cause was still under investigation and that they had not ruled out arson.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk publicly said several days ago that he sees signs that such an escalation is being prepared and that the next seven to eight months could be critical for the security of Ukraine and the entire European region.

Western governments have grown increasingly concerned in recent weeks that Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning an escalation against NATO and European Union countries.

Polish media reported that a surveillance camera captured an unidentified individual entering the facility through the fence.
