NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Alliance members intend to ramp up arms production and will announce new defence contracts during the upcoming NATO summit.
Rutte said that during the NATO summit, scheduled for 5-7 July, allies plan to announce new defence contracts, sign letters of intent and conclude major agreements in the defence industry.
Rutte addressed Russia directly, saying the Alliance holds the advantage in defence production and that NATO knows what Russia is doing.
Alliance members are expected to commit to new weapons supply contracts worth billions of dollars and to increase arms production volumes, including for Ukraine.
Israel, Lebanon, and the US signed a trilateral agreement to pave the way for peace on their front, involving Lebanese soldiers taking control of two areas occupied by Israel and disarming Hezbollah.
