The Security Service of Ukraine's counterintelligence unit has gathered evidence against ten Russian servicemen accused of deliberately using attack drones against civilians in Kherson. Prosecutors have served notices of suspicion on them in absentia for violating the laws and customs of war.
Ten servicemen from the 404th Motor Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces' Dnepr grouping have been identified as being involved in short-range drone attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure on the right bank of Kherson Oblast.
Throughout 2025, they regularly carried out attacks from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson Oblast using various types of drones, including fibre-optic FPV kamikaze drones.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, more than 300 civilians have been killed and nearly 3,000 injured in Russian drone attacks in Kherson Oblast.
Russian-installed regional head Volodymyr Saldo reported that traffic on the Chonhar Bridge was closed due to a Ukrainian drone strike.
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, addressed reports regarding Russian withdrawals from partially occupied territories in Kherson Oblast.
