Ukrainska Pravda → Source tone: uncertain

Drones attacked Russia's Samara Oblast on the night of 1-2 January, with explosions reported over Novokuybyshevsk. A fire was recorded in one of the districts. Air defence systems reportedly downed several aerial assets. Local residents reported loud explosions at around 01:30, with more than 10 powerful blasts heard. Monitoring channels suggest two oil refineries may have come under attack: the Novokuybyshevsk refinery and the Kuibyshev refinery.
