In December, Serhii Tarakanov, the director of the Chornobyl NPP, said that another Russian strike could collapse the internal radiation shelter at the power plant.

"If a missile or drone hits it directly, or even falls somewhere nearby, for example, an Iskander, God forbid, it will cause a mini-earthquake in the area. No one can guarantee the protective structure stays in place after that. That is the main threat," he said.

President Aliyev stated that Russia deliberately hit Azerbaijan’s embassy in Kyiv and that Moscow denied this claim.
