The European Union will continue its sanctions policy against Russia regardless of possible decisions by the administration of US President Donald Trump.
Valdis Dombrovskis stated that given the policy of the new US administration, the EU has to take its own security into its own hands, and this applies to sanctions policy.
The EU is currently working on the 16th package of sanctions against Russia.
