Ukraine, through Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, called on the United Nations to resume its investigation into the killing of Ukrainian POWs in Olenivka prison on July 29, 2022.

Ukraine demands that the UN mission resume its work as soon as possible or that a new mission be set up to thoroughly investigate the terrorist attack on Olenivka

The investigation involved statements from 20 victims and 30 eyewitnesses, as well as forensic evidence of those killed.

The two former commanders have been charged in absentia with violating the laws of war.
