On the morning of June 24, 2024, the Russian invaders attacked the Odesa region with two cruise missiles, probably Iskander-K. Due to the active counteraction of the air defense of southern Ukraine, one of the missiles did not reach its target.

A Russian cruise missile hit a warehouse in the southern port city of Odesa, sparking a fire over thousands of square metres (yards), Ukrainian officials said on Monday.

Russian forces attacked Odesa with Iskander-K missiles, hitting civilian infrastructure. One missile was intercepted while another hit the target.

The interception rate of 50% is not inspiring given these are not extremely difficult missiles to intercept.

Russian troops launched two missiles at Odesa on the morning of June 24, one of which was suppressed.

As of 14:00, 70 apartments in two residential buildings were damaged by the shelling.

There are victims of the Russian attack in Odesa.
