The SSU detained a Russian GRU agent in Zaporizhzhia who was monitoring defense plants and military equipment concentrations.

The defendant is a former deputy head of a regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who was recruited by a Russian Ministry of Defence officer.

The SSU served a notice of suspicion for high treason under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
