The use of frozen Russian sovereign assets for Ukraine should be preceded by a long preparation of six to seven difficult stages and such a decision should be collective, not at the level of one country.

Most Russian sovereign assets are located in Europe, mainly in Belgium, and these assets generate income.

If a decision gets made regarding the use of these assets, it will be a collective decision where everyone has to agree.

Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis stated that China should be encouraged to participate in Ukraine’s peace talks with Russia.

Cassis noted that BRICS countries' participation in peace talks is very important, but China did not participate in the Davos event and it will be difficult to encourage its participation.

Cassis stated that Russia is currently showing no interest in a ceasefire and must be part of negotiations based on Ukraine's Peace Formula.
