On Christmas Eve, the Air Force reported that it had shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber on the Mariupol front and a Su-30 over the Black Sea.

Ukraine's anti-aircraft missile system downed a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber jet near occupied Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast, as reported by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk on Dec. 24.

An Su-34 fighter bomber was hit near Mariupol on Christmas eve and did not return to its base.
