Ukrainian troops are conducting assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on Russian forces in manpower and equipment while consolidating their positions.

Russian forces intensified ground attacks against Avdiivka and surrounding settlements in early October, in an attempt to encircle the town. The campaign has been supported by heavy shelling and air strikes, which continue to inflict casualties among civilian residents.

The video shows several Russia vehicles driving through fields in an undisclosed location near Avdiivka. The lead tank was hit by artillery fire from Ukraine's 116th separate brigade. The tank's turret flew into the air as the vehicle exploded.

Other tanks in the attack came under fire - one was totally destroyed while another suffered less damage and some crew tried to escape.

The drone footage showed three burning wrecks while another tank made a hasty reverse retreat.
