Over 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and others injured when a Russian missile struck an awards ceremony in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The servicemen included Volodymyr Voznyi, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS), who had recently been transferred to the Zaporizhzhia Oblast TCRSS.

One Ukrainian soldier said on social media that 22 people from the brigade had been killed.

The 128th brigade confirmed the death of 19 soldiers due to a Russian missile strike.
