Russian forces shelled Kherson State University, damaging the state university building.

As a result of shelling on October 12, 2023, the state university building in Kherson was damaged.

Russian occupying forces attacked Kherson on the morning of 12 October, hitting a children's hospital in the Dniprovskyi district. No staff or patients were present and there were no casualties.

A Russian attack on Beryslav in Kherson Oblast injured one person, Volodymyr Litvinov, regional administration head, reported on Oct. 12.The shelling wounded a 70-year-old man, who received help from medics at the scene.
