On 2 October, a man from Mykolaiv Oblast was killed after being hired to clear mines by a landowner in Kherson Oblast. The man, who was using a homemade demining device, was blown up by a mine in the field.

Later the same day, Oleksii Biloshytskyi, first deputy chief of Ukraine's Patrol Police, reported that one of the wounded police officers died in hospital.

Two employees of Kherson utility companies were killed, a mother and two children injured by artillery strikes on the city.

A patrol policeman wounded in the morning shelling of Kherson on 2023-10-02 died on the operating table.

Two other policemen were wounded in the same shelling incident, one in critical condition.
