On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian forces carried out airstrikes near Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Defenses also run along major roads and encircle important towns like Robotyne, which Ukraine took in early September.

Ukraine said on Friday its troops had broken through the first line of Russian defenses in several areas of the southern front but added they had then come up against even more heavily fortified positions.
