Kyiv City State Administration announced there will be no mass government-arranged events on Independence Day, 25 August, but a state-level exhibition of destroyed Russian military equipment will be held on Khreshchatyk street.

The city will not organise mass events on Independence Day. As the city authorities were informed by a letter from the President's Office, they plan to hold a state-level exhibition of units of damaged enemy equipment on Khreshchatyk.

An explosion occurred on the premises of the Interior Ministry's State Scientific and Research Expert-Criminalistic Center in Kyiv's western suburb.

The cause of the explosion is not due to a drone or missile strike.

Experts on the scene were conducting an examination of explosive objects when the explosion occurred.

A fire broke out in one of the storage facilities on the premises.

Some employees were injured by the incident, but the number was not specified.
