Russian forces launched a large-scale missile attack on Lviv, hitting residential buildings including a kindergarten playground and causing fires on upper floors.

About 40 buildings were damaged or destroyed in Lviv and the surrounding villages of Stavchany and Sukhovolia. One rocket hit the backyard of a local kindergarten in Lviv.

Most missiles were intercepted in Lviv, but some hit residential buildings causing damage to over 100 apartments and destroying a kindergarten

Between 05:20 a.m. and 05:30 a.m. on August 15, Russian forces attacked Lviv with cruise missiles; air defense shot down one missile while six hit their targets.

The attack resulted in 15 injuries, including a 10-year-old and a 72-year-old, with five people hospitalized for scratches, cuts, and bruises.

Nearly 40 buildings were damaged, including 20 in the regional center (Lviv) on Kakhovka and Patona streets, with fires at an industrial enterprise.
