Russian forces hit residential buildings in Lviv during a large-scale air-raid warning on August 15, 2023

About 40 buildings were damaged or destroyed in Lviv and the surrounding villages of Stavchany and Sukhovolia. One rocket hit the backyard of a local kindergarten in Lviv.

Between 05:20 a.m. and 05:30 a.m. on August 15, Russian forces attacked Lviv with cruise missiles; air defense shot down one missile while six hit their targets.

The attack resulted in 15 injuries, including a 10-year-old and a 72-year-old, with five people hospitalized for scratches, cuts, and bruises.

Nearly 40 buildings were damaged, including 20 in the regional center (Lviv) on Kakhovka and Patona streets, with fires at an industrial enterprise.
