Three Ukrainian citizens and a Moldovan citizen were detained near the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in Odesa region for attempting illegal escape by horse-drawn carriage.

The fugitives were military-age residents of Kharkiv who paid $4,500 each to a smuggler.

Border violators were issued reports under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences and handed over to the National Police.
