An explosion occurred in a courthouse in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district on July 5, 2023, triggered by defendant Ihor Humeniuk.

Two Rapid Operational Response Unit officers were injured in the explosion; Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko confirmed Humeniuk triggered the device.

Humeniuk died in the explosion after attempting to escape and throwing explosives at special police officers.
