Serhii Bychkov, former Director General of Antonov State Enterprise, was served with a notice of suspicion for official negligence that led to the destruction of the AN-225 Mriya cargo aircraft during a Russian air attack on Hostomel airport.

Bychkov, despite warnings from state authorities and knowing about termination of insurance coverage, did not ensure the relocation of the aircraft to a safe place.

The AN-225 Mriya was destroyed during an air attack by Russian troops on Hostomel airport.

Damage to the state was more than US$227 million.

The SBU charged Serhii Bychkov with official negligence for failing to evacuate the Mriya aircraft despite warnings and available resources, resulting in its destruction by Russian forces.

Bychkov's alleged negligence caused more than Hr 8.4 billion ($227.8 million) in damage to the Ukrainian state.

On April 5, 2023, courts arrested the assets of LLCs owned by Pavel Fuchs and Serhiy Kotvitsky in an investigation exposed by the SBI and SSU regarding illegal gas extraction profits.
