Russian forces attacked Ukraine late on March 8 and early March 9, causing explosions in multiple oblasts including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr.

Explosions were reported in southern Kyiv shortly after 6am and in the Svyatoshinsky district around 7am, injuring two people.
