Russian artillery attacked settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv oblasts on the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts.

The Russian army used artillery to attack areas of Buchky and Yasna Poliana in Chernihiv Oblast; Novovasylivka, Vyntorivka, Chernatske, Ulanove, Studenok, Khodyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Krasnopillia and Uhroidy in Sumy Oblast and Morokhovets, Zelene, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Mala Vovcha, Milove, Vovchansk, Dvorichna, Moskovka and Kamianka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian forces attacked a military town in northern Chernihiv Oblast with one Iskander ballistic missile overnight on Dec. 31.

No casualties were reported from the Dec. 31 strike.
