Antonov State Enterprise is building a second An-225 Mriya aircraft at a secret facility, with the project reported to be 30% complete. The reconstruction involves combining parts from the original destroyed airframe with new components, costing an estimated €500 million.

The first An-225 Mriya was destroyed by Russian forces during the offensive in Kyiv Oblast in February 2022.

The reconstruction project costs €500,000,000.

Leipzig/Halle Airport will assist in raising funds for the reconstruction by selling souvenirs.
