Source Reports

Joint Command South stated that troops are advancing and that Russian forces cannot hold Kherson and positions north of the Dnipro River indefinitely.

Budanov stated Surovikin is preparing grounds for losing Kherson, while simultaneously bringing in new units to defend the city.

Russian troops are bringing new military units to Kherson to prepare for defense rather than retreating.

Kyrylo Budanov stated that the Kakhovka dam is partially mined by Russian forces and a partial explosion would delay Ukrainian counteroffensive progress by about two weeks while causing ecological damage.

Budanov predicted that a full destruction of the dam would cut off water to Crimea and threaten the existence of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to move the front line in the Kherson region although Russian troops are firmly entrenched.

Humenyuk denied Russian claims about expelling Ukrainian defenders from settlements in Kherson, calling them manipulation.
